Iulia Nistor (b. Bucharest, 1985; lives in Berlin and São Paulo) is an artist and philosopher whose work engages with questions in the philosophy of mind and language. She is interested in procedures that analyze and challenge concepts, using artistic processes and settings to investigate how perception operates and how the perceived is represented. Her practice examines the conditions that structure thought—such as our capacities for abstraction and intentionality—and the consequences these have for the ways we inhabit and understand the world.
