Julian Zigerli (b. Murten, 1984; lives and works in Zurich and Berlin) is one of Switzerland’s most high-profile and celebrated fashion designers. With fabric print designs that are as edgy as they are expressionistic, he has caused a stir on national and international runways for the past twelve years. Numerous interdisciplinary collaborative ventures—with prestigious brands including Zimmerli, Swarovski, and Qwstion, but also with renowned artists like Katharina Grosse, Walter Pfeiffer, and Shirana Shahbazi—speak to Zigerli’s manifold creative gifts. His work blurs the boundaries between the domains of fashion, fine art, photography, and design.
