Over the past three years, more 12 artists and artists’ collectives have participated in the Glenkeen Garden Residencies program on Ireland’s southwestern coast. The publication The Glenkeen Variations: ArtNature/NatureArt is a condensation of the organic web of relationships connecting them: the former residents’ works are as diverse as the Glenkeen Garden itself. Studies of sounds and materials, scientific inquiries and creative contributions explore the relationships between humans and nature, cultivated in the landscape garden, and the site-specific artistic engagements from fresh angles.

The richly illustrated reader includes writings by Brigitte Franzen, Ioanna Gerakidi, Rosemary Lee, Ben Livne Weitzman, Julia Katherina Thiemann, Jan Wagner, and others.
