Theresa Weber’s (b. Düsseldorf, 1996; lives and works in Berlin) multimedia installations, pictures, and collaborative performances challenge existing power hierarchies and entrenched categorizations. Based on site-specific historical research and ancient mythologies, she develops collages of culturally fraught materials. Her perspective as a German-born artist with a Jamaican, German, and Greek family background shapes her creative approach, which illustrates the continual transformation within diasporic traditions, with a special reference to Caribbean discourses. Operating in the dynamic field between transparency and opacity, Weber's practice employs nuance and fragility to create space for strength and resilience. 

Ambiguous Territories is Weber’s first monograph and presents her work of the past three years. With essays by Dorothy Price, Kira Dell, and Laura Seidel and a conversation between the artist and Julia Grosse.
